Hello and welcome friends!!
This post is about my Sew Sampler quitling box for December 2016. I actually received both December’s and January’s #sewsampler quilting boxes in early February. That is when I had finished part of the Magic Friendship Medallion, and was wondering what had happened to my packages. Imagine my happiness getting two boxes on the same day!!! Shall we open the sampler box to see what’s inside?
December’s theme was “Filled with joy” , due to holiday season!! It is always full of beautiful things that we crafters and quilters love and use, but it seems like this time I got some things that I had never thought of buying!!
This time, the box included the following items:
Birds of Liberty Half Roll Up, by Darlene Zimmerman for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. This half jelly roll includes 18 2.5″ x 42″ strips of fabric and duplicates of some prints. As you can imagine, I took off its plastic wrap, and now I want to make something with this roll but I don’t want to destroy it too!!! I wonder how this will work. Hmm…
- Block #9 recipe card with three size options: 8″, 12″ and 16″, which is always handy. I am thinking about buying the fabrics that Fat Quarter shop has put together for creating the blocks and eventually a quilt. Their colors are so nice!!! Take a look at this fat quarter bundle and see what I mean!!
Orange Peel Set of Impressions Quilting Templates “It’s Sew Emma” #ISE-719. The templates feature the orange peel applique shape andare designed to fit on 3″, 4″, 5″ and 6″ finished squares. The Fat Quarter Shop also provides a video with instructions on how to use them and do raw edge applique, which is so helpful!!
- Ok, so on November’s box I got an Aurifil spool in white, 100% cotton, and was super excited, and now I get a set of six spools of Aurifil 80wt cotton thread!!! They are 300yards long each, and they are great for machine or hand applique. I hope you can see their perfect color through the plastic wrap, I don’t want to destroy that either!!!
This is Round Robin Impressions Quilt Pattern from It’s Sew Emma #ISE-301. It has four finished sizes, Crib – 42.5″ x 42.5″, Lap – 56.5″ x 64.5″, Twin – 70.5″ x 90.5″ and Queen – 84.5″ x 96.5″ and it uses the Orange Peel Set of Impressions Quilting Templates by It’s Sew Emma.
- And finally the box included a Sew Cherry Magnet Set by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet #ST-5037. The set includes four 2″ square magnets from the Sew Cherry 2 collection. This is something that I wouldn’t look into a fabric and quilting store!! But they are so cute and I already placed them on my fridge next to my favourite magnets!!!
For statistics, the retail price of all the products above is about 63.34$. I am looking forward receiving my February box now. I will be presenting January’s box in the next post.
Thank you so much for being here, hope you loved this presentation as much as I do!!! Until next time, be safe and happy!!
